Our Mission

Pablo

After practicing yoga for the better part of a decade, I embarked a new journey in 2015 and set out to complete an accredited Teacher Training program. Under the expert teaching of Portland-based instructor, Jill Knouse, I completed my  200 hours (and then some) in December of 2015.

Through my study and experience, I found that, to many folks, yoga and meditation can be intimidating. And that the idea of incorporating a daily, weekly, or even monthly practice, seems wholly unattainable or, perhaps, just not worth the effort.

But that’s why my mission now is to share Yoga and mindfulness practice by reaching people - especially historically underserved/underrepresented communities - “where they’re at”. Having grown up with one foot in Mexico, and the other Stateside, I deeply understand why reaching these groups, with whom yoga’s not typically shared, is all the more important.

I incorporate meditation, breath work and the teachings of the eight limbs into my Vinyasa practice -- with a special emphasis on the Yamas: Ahimsa, Satya, Asteya, Brahmacharya and Aparigraha. A lifelong music fan, you can always count on an energizing class, culminated by a period of tranquility and peace.

When I'm not practicing Yoga, I enjoy traveling the world, camping, and spending time with family, friends, and -- perhaps most importantly -- Josephine (my dog!).

What is Ahimsa? Ahimsa is the practice of non-violence towards ourselves and all living things.

XXX has done several small and large projects for my old Victorian home on Grove Street. He’s always incredibly professional and accommodating. I know I can trust him to work diligently even when I’m away on vacation.

Men's Intro Series

Join me in this 6 week men's introductory workshop focusing on movement, breath and reflection.

Have you've ever thought yourself you couldn't do yoga because you're not flexible enough?

Have you ever thought you could not meditate because your mind is in constant overdrive?

Do wish you could make time to think in stillness and reflect on what is important in life?

If so, join me in a small group setting, where will explore three main areas of a mindfulness practice.
